1. Medical/Health/Dental Equipment
Hospitals, Public Health Clinics and Not-for-Profit Service Providers are eligible to apply for grants for medical/health/dental equipment and supplies where there is a demonstrated need that is not currently being met by the applicant’s usual source of funding.
Eligibility Requirements: The organization applying for the grant must be a 501(c)(3) or, if it is a government agency, must provide official documentation and use the Grant Proposal Application located on this site.
Grant Awards: Each application is evaluated on its own merit based on its projected impact on the Territorial health services network. Thus, the Foundation will entertain Grant Proposals for equipment provided that the institution making the request can furnish documentation of its solvency, history of successful provision of health services or plan for same that is supported by respected agencies and is a recognized entity by the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands. All grant recipients are expected to conform with any conditions placed upon the grant by the Foundation. The amounts of grants awarded may be limited. Please contact the Foundation for further details. All proposals must show a demonstrable need and a methodology of tracking the benefit to the Territory.

2. Community Based Organizations and Other Non-Governmental Organizations Engaged in the Delivery of Health Services or Public Health Education and Information
The Bennie and Martha Benjamin Foundation is pleased to offer small grants to local community based organizations and other governmental organizations engaged in the delivery of health services or public health education and information or those that are undertaking public health education initiatives that benefit the health and well being of the United States Virgin Islanders. The Foundation is interested in the dissemination of health information and generally promoting educational programming that includes brochures, pamphlets, educational materials or specific community based activities using the radio or print media including ads, posters aiming to reach large segments of the community with a significant public health message. All proposals must show a demonstrable need and a methodology of tracking the benefit to the Territory.
Grant Awards
The Foundation can make grants up to $5,000 for educational programming depending on the availability of funds.

Application Deadline
The deadline for these grants is open. Applications are considered by the Foundation’s Board approximately every quarter. Call or email us for quarterly deadlines. Complete the grant application included on the link and return to the Foundation at the address listed on application.
