Apply for a Scholarship From The Bennie and Martha Benjamin Foundation

In addition to awarding dozens of scholarships to medical students, physical therapists, pharmacists, nurses, educators and administrators, the Foundation also has donated much needed equipment and provided medical training programs in the territory.

The student nurse program has benefited exponentially from the Foundation. “Five or six years ago, the student nurse program at UVI retained only one or two graduates,” said Tina. “We now have a 95 percent ‘stay’ rate.” In that regard, Tina praised Cynthia Rice on St. Thomas and Catheryn Collins on St. Croix. “Both these ladies are fabulous role models, nurturers and mentors,” she commented.
